John-David Burdet

John-David Burdet, attorney-at-law in Lausanne, was admitted to the Vaud Bar in 2006 and practises mainly in the field of construction and real estate law. He has also acquired a solid experience in labour law.

Awarded by the University of Fribourg and the Swiss Bar Association, he obtained in February 2015 the title of SBA specialist in construction and real estate law, certifying high skills in these fields.

In the field of private construction law, his activities include, in particular, the contract of enterprise, the contract of mandate, for architects or engineers, the contract of sale of real estate, the law of condominium ownership (PPE), as well as the law of lease. In public construction law cases, he acts for both municipalities and private individuals.

In order to continousely improve his knowledge and competences, John-David Burdet regularly attends seminars and conferences in these fields.

John-David Burdet is also a lecturer for the private law module of the Federal Executive Certificate in Public Administration.

He represents clients in civil, administrative and arbitration proceedings. He also favours upstream intervention, in order to limit disputes before they arise; the implementation of a mediation or a conciliation is one of the alternative methods to solve disputes.
